369 fields over Amsterdam totaling 16M MU

"Ik eindig toch wel in de goot" - C. de Rat

Fielding Amsterdam, again and again and again. It never tires. Well it does, sort of. But even at 5am the exhausted agents were still in good spirits happily creating a nice blue stroboscope effect over our beloved city. Everybody joined in the fun, shared booze, MU and tall stories. ENL interfered a couple of times. Panjim visited Durgerdam but took off after hitting our hardened defenses there. Strombolie took out our undefended anchor in Amsterdamse Bos whilst at the same time Bitbite started shooting blocklinks along the west corridor. We managed to regain control and continued fielding until all keys were used up. As ops go the weather was not too bad; only 1 hour of mild rain and the usual sub-zero wind chill. We are used to worse thank you very much. Thanks to all agents for yet another exiting and fun operation.

with your hip-hop hat and your pants on the ground"

Sometimes you don't need a lot of agents or preparation to make nice fields. This field was planned and executed in 4 hours by 2 agents.

Working in a new area opens up new fielding opportunities. After farming keys since October and getting in touch with the local agents this field operation was finally planned in the weekend of the first Obsidian Anomaly event. There were some worries about ENL presence in Broek op Langendijk but during the operation it was completely quiet there. There was some ENL activity in Medemblik and Anna Paulowna but this did not seem directed at us. After swift clearing and setting up block links, fielding started at 23:47. We planned to make 241 fields, but with some extra farmed keys and keys that fell of flipped links we managed to make 28 extra fields. At 2:07 fielding was complete, except for some bonus fields created around/on top of the final onion. Thanks to all involved, and to ENL for not interfering. Special thanks to our excellent operators MrNivor and TheGrimSqueaker. Thanks to Schoentoon for making a time lapse.

OPS Pillage and Plunder

Thursday January 14th 2016

Summary
Keys travel and travel and travel and in the end land somewhere. In this case they landed in Fortifer's inventory, which is a cosy place for a key, lots of friends around. Keys make links, and links make fields. Making fields accross the ocean is quite a different ball game than over land. Planning operations in summer and setting the date in the middle of winter is... well... cold! It's a shame some agents on Terschelling have frightfully bad manners on comm. Please be a good sport when the other faction lands a successful operation!

Is there a party this weekend?
Yeah. Of course there is. Do you want to come?
No I can't. I just need to know where it is. Sorry to be asking.
Then why are you asking?
Some people want to know.
OK. Yeah. It's no big secret. It's at the Blue Oyster Bar on Howell
